What is titanium anode?

Titanium anodes are electrochemical devices designed to replace traditional electrodes (such as graphite and lead-based electrodes). Unlike conventional electrodes, they effectively overcome the problems of high oxygen and chlorine evolution overpotentials and rapid corrosion and loss in electrochemical reactions. Their core advantages include a chlorine evolution overpotential ≤1.13V (vs SCE), a lifespan of 2-20 years, and energy consumption reduction of over 20%.

The titanium anode electrode consists of a high-purity titanium substrate and a noble metal electrocatalytic coating, which can resist corrosion from highly corrosive media (such as acid, alkali, and salt solutions), preventing rapid dissolution and failure of the electrode. It is equipped with highly conductive connection terminals, which facilitates efficient electrocatalytic reactions under various operating conditions (such as acidic/alkaline solutions and high current density environments).

Iridium Oxide Titanium Anode

Iridium oxide titanium anode is also called iridium tantalum titanium anode. It uses a high-temperature sintering process to coat a layer of iridium oxide on the titanium substrate. It focuses on oxygen evolution reaction in a strong acid/strong alkali environment. It has stronger corrosion resistance, low oxygen evolution potential, and will not produce any impurities during metal extraction.

Platinized Titanium Anodes

platinum coated titanium electrode are produced by sintering a thick platinum layer onto a titanium substrate. This results in a higher purity platinum layer than pure platinum, a uniform surface, excellent adhesion, and high ductility. In oxygen and chlorine evolution environments, it can uniformly conduct current, making it suitable for demanding applications such as high-precision electroplating and seawater cathodic protection. It supports long-term operation at high current densities and has a longer service life.

A: Yes, Xubo Titanium is optimized for specific wastewater components, the chlorine evolution potential of the ruthenium iridium anode is 1.13V, and the oxygen evolution potential of the iridium-tantalum anode is 1.5V.

The coating has a large area of peeling, the surface is seriously worn, and the anode voltage increases by more than 10% compared with the initial state.
